With experience in tech, human resources and caregiving, Kierep, supported by health communities and tech accelerators in the city, our mission is to solve the caregiver shortage crisis in Canada by overhauling and enhancing the hiring system.

With Kierep, we provide caregiving agencies with an on-demand shift coverage solution that enhances hiring time and timely care delivery. We also offer certification procurement to new caregivers and verify existing caregivers for work eligibility.

Since our launch in July 2023, we have had over 310 sign-ups from caregivers. In the Summer of 2023, we were accepted into the MCE Work term and the Genesis Evolution Program to build our MVP and organised two community initiatives: The Caregiver Conference and Kierep Soccer Team, which have been successful to date. We also provide opportunities for university students to gain experience through the Experience Ventures every semester and the IBC program by Memorial University. In December 2023, we won the VOLTA virtual pitch competition and are currently working on expansion to other provinces for product validation.
